The material package can be made into 1KG soap (about 10-11 pieces). The package includes:
▲Basic oil: palm oil, unrefined avocado oil, olive oil, rice bran oil, coconut oil 750g

▲Additive: dried calendula, milk powder

1. Get prepared
Cover the table with newspaper. Gear up yourself with a white apron, plastic gloves, and goggles (and facemasks).
2. Lye making
Weight and measure the NaOH into the measuring cup and distilled water into the heat-resistant bottle. Slowly pour the NaOH into the distilled water.
3. Heat up the oil
Weight and measure the plant oil into a stainless steel pot. Heat the base oil to 45 ° C. You may heat the oil from boiling water to make it more manageable.
4. Mix the lye into the oil
Wait until the lye temperature reaches until 45 ° C, while try to manage the difference of lye and oil temperature to be within 5 ° C. Then slowly pour the lye into the plant oil.
5. Blend until trace
Blend the mixture until you have reached thin to medium pudding trace. It should take around 15-
30 minutes. (Depends on recipe, some recipe would need longer time to trace)
6. Add the additives into the traced soap.
7. Insulation and unmold
Mold the soap and insulate the soap (by putting it into a polyester box/ wrapping with a towel). Insulate the soap for 48 hours and unmold it.
8. Soap curing
Put the soap in a well-ventilated spot to harden and cure for 4-6 weeks. (An ideal location at home would be an open shelf/ book shelves in bedroom)
9. Try it with pH test strips before use
Before using, try it with a pH test strip until it reaches the pH value of 8-9. If the pH value is still at 10, cure the soap for a couple more days.
